Þórsmörk Valley
The name Þórsmörk (pronounced roughly "THôRz•mooRk") means Thor's Woods. The letter "Þ" is called "Thot" and makes a soft "th" sound like in "thing".
Beautiful Þórsmörk Valley Þór was the ancient god of thunder and war
In Iceland they have a joke:
"If you ever get lost in an Icelandic forest... stand up!"
Even Þórsmörk, Iceland's greatest forest, is relatively small and populated by small trees, dwarfed by the unyielding volcanic rock beneath them.

Still, the valley offers countless breathtaking views.
If you ever get lost in this forest, just stand up!
Show me the wildlife!
Show me the horses!
Show me Snæfellsnes!
Show me the Golden Circle!
Show me Reykjavík!
Show me more of Iceland!
Take me home!
