The beach at Snæfellsnes was characterised by many such curious formations.
This place is the stuff of sagas. Can it really exist?
Another landscape that could only exist in Iceland
The landscape in Iceland is amazingly different around every corner!
Most anywhere in Iceland is a good place to sit and ponder the mysteries of life.
When lava cools this rapidly, it fractures into a hexagonal pattern.
Okay, so it wasn't really samurai magic. It was the friendly tour guide.

Show me the wildlife!
Show me the horses!
Show me Þórsmörk!
Show me the Golden Circle!
Show me Reykjavík!
Show me more of Iceland!
Take me home!
