    Jimmie's paternal grandmother Mary McDADE's ancestors and descendants.



    • This is a partial chart of Jimmie Lee Oden Mercer's paternal grandmother Mary MCDADE ancestors and descendants. We are searching for ancesters and relatives of Mary MCDADE. Jimmie's paternal great grandmother is Ava Rilla TOWNSEND wife of John Alexander McDade and mother of Mary McDade the second wife of Enoch Walter Oden and mother of John Samuel Oden who is Jimmie's father, all of whom were born in or lived in Kemper Co.
    Mary MCDADE was born in 1851 and died June 19, 1888 five days after birthing John Samuel ODEN who was born on June 14, 1888. Mary MCDADE is buried in the Bay Springs Church Cemetery Kemper CO., MS next to C. E. MYERS b. 7/14/1826 d. 6/18/1888 the day before Mary McDADE's untimely death. C.E. MYERS is believed to be Ava Rilla TOWNSEND's relative. The grave site makes it appear as if they may have been buried in a joint ceremony.
    Jimmie grew up in Kemper CO. MS and her CLARK-ODEN family home place in the Briggs Chapel Community between Porterville, MS and Boyd, AL., has been in continuous occupancy for over one hundred years.
