    We are searching for Wesley Mercer's paternal great grandmother Melvina REED/REID's ancestors, siblings, and descendants. We do not at this time know her parents' names.

    By Family tradition Melvina REED/REID was born in Twiggs CO., GA but we have not been able to establish proof from census records. There is a Melvina REED daughter of a Wheelwright in Twiggs CO., GA but the dates do not match. We are seeking the ancestors, parents, siblings, and relativies of Melvina REED/REID. Also, by Family tradition Melvina's spouce, John Wesley Barkley MERCER descends from Christopher Mercer b. 1612 Scotland/England. We are stuck at this point in our MERCER research. We would be very interested in MERCER families histories that go back to Scotland and into the 1500's or earlier. ========================================================
