The Moon & The Zodiac

As the moon travels through the night sky, it passes through the astrological signs, like the sun, only faster. As it passes through these signs, they each influence the moon in a different way, and in turn may affect any spells or rituals you may be doing. Below is a description of the affects of each sign on the moon.

MOON IN ARIES: This is the best time to work magick involving authority, rebirth, spiritual conversion, leadership, or willpower. This is a cycle for cultivating talents and knowledge. A good period to begin school work, foster friendhsip, and enhance any ability which you have neglected. Healing rituals for ailments of the face, head, or brain are also done during this period of time.
CANDLE color to use during this period: red, crimson, scarlet or burgundy.
METAL: Iron

MOON IN TAURUS: is the best time to work magick for love, real estate, material acquisitions, and money. It's a season to allow growth, encourage vitality, and increase energy. An excellent period for spells pertaining to development and maturity of any project, including legal matters. Healing rituals for ailments of the throat, neck, and ears are also done during this period.
CANDLE color: all shades of green, pink, turquoise
METAL: Copper

MOON IN GEMINI: This is the time to work magick for good communication, change of residence, writing, public relations, and travel. Don't ignore the little things which have been bothering you. Instead, deal with them, then move on. During this phase, begin a banishing ritual for a negative attitude during the waning phase, then finish it come the New Moon. MOON IN VIRGO: is the best time to work magick involving employment, intellectual matters, health, and dietary concerns. The encouraging energies of this cycle will help you get past your doubts, and lend extra power for magick. A season to reorganize and reconsider the circumstances around you. Healing of the feet or lymph glands are also done during this period.

A Special Note: There is a difference between what constellation the moon appears in and the actual astrological significance. For example, your almanac may say that the moon is in Taurus, when actually for astrological purposes it is Gemini (30° difference). Therefore, consult an astrological calendar or book for this information instead of a common almanac.
