| Chick Reid Chick Reid is one of the nicest people I've ever met. She even managed to be nice when I was interrupting her lunch, which would be a major feat for some people. She was also very nice as manic Ground Controllers hung around the stage door for three days, conducting lightsaber fights and asking her husband bizarre questions about rats. She didn't call the police once. For this, we honour her. Oh, yeah, and we really love her acting too. We first saw her in the excellent Mutant X episode "Blood Ties", as the indefatigable Nicole Carter. Nicole was a remarkable character: a strong woman who didn't need to bare her midriff or do kung fu to get attention. She also stood up to Eckhart where tens of minions before had fallen. We wish we had seen more of her. You can also 'see' Chick onscreen in the short film Don't Think Twice, also starring Tom McCamus. Chick doesn't actually appear in this, but her voice plays a pivotal role. However, it's onstage that Chick has really made her name. I saw her in the frankly awesome play Shadows at the Stratford Festival. Chick now has her own website, complete with a short biography and list of selected theatre credits.
