Ex Marks The Spot Season One, Episode Twenty Plot: The team rescue a safebreaker who turns out to be Shalimar's ex-boyfriend. Good points: Callum Keith Rennie doing a star turn. The GSA almost appearing competent for once. Eckhart going completely mental for all of five seconds. Bad points: Never quite captures its potential, with even leads Rennie and Victoria Pratt getting surprisingly little to do of effect. Shea and McCamus look like they have somewhere better to be. |

Dancing On The Razor Season One, Episode Twenty-One Plot: Mutant X and the GSA find themselves working towards a common goal as a renegade journalist catches them on film using their mutant powers. Good points: Proxy Blue. Emma's powers getting a workout. Tom, John and the sparks flying. Bad points: Also never quite up to where it should be, and very slow-paced in places. The ending, in particular, looks like it consists of two scenes put in to make up the time. |
A Breed Apart Season One, Episode Twenty-Two Plot: A new force appears in the city as "Patient Zero" is freed from his stasis pod. Meanwhile, Mutant X are developing new powers. Good points: Michael Easton is suitably both charismatic and deadly in his new recurring role. The team's new powers are certainly spectacular. Andrew Gillies turns "snarmy" into an artform. Adam's confession. Eckhart learning the meaning of the word "ignominy". Bad points: The introduction of The Strand and Ashlocke, the team's new powers and the dispatch of Eckhart all end up a little rushed and underedeveloped, but hey, what are second seasons for? |
