All American Reading Challenge none;

no longer exists

Designed for students in grades 3-7, this highly commercial program awards participating students with an All-American meal coupon for every 10 books read. No longer exists because only 1600-1700 restaurants participated. sponsored by McDonald's in conjunction with the American Library Assn.
Book It none Teachers set monthly goals for the students.  When the students reach the goal, they receive a free personal-size pizza from the restaurant.  The program lasts six months, usually from October through March.  Students who reach the goal for all six months achieve honor roll status and receive a special medallion from Pizza Hut. Chrystler Learning Connection: Discover to Read none This grades k-8 reading incentive program is designed to encourage students to read books from different categories.   The incentive is that they receive a free copy of the program and enter a drawing so that their school library may win a $1000 grant.   Your local Chrystler dealer
Earning By Learning none This Texas program was originally established by Congressman Newt Gingerich and Dr. Mel Steely.   It is now available in 29 states.   This program was designed for at-risk fourth graders in H.I.S.D.  Students are paid $1.00 for each book read and reported on.   They receive checks twice a year.   started by: Houston, TX Automobile Dealer's Assn.
Geoffrey Reading Railroad unknown This reading incentive program for students in grades 1-2 allows students to earn points towards class prizes.  Prizes must be redeemed at the toy store. sponsored by Toys R Us
