Designed for students in grades 3-7, this highly commercial program awards participating students with an All-American meal coupon for every 10 books read. No longer exists because only 1600-1700 restaurants participated. | sponsored by McDonald's in conjunction with the American Library Assn. |
| Book It | none | Teachers set monthly goals for the students. When the students reach the goal, they receive a free personal-size pizza from the restaurant. The program lasts six months, usually from October through March. Students who reach the goal for all six months achieve honor roll status and receive a special medallion from Pizza Hut. | Pizza Hut

| Chrystler Learning Connection: Discover to Read | none | This grades k-8 reading incentive program is designed to encourage students to read books from different categories.
