The Eta Psi chapter of Alpha Delta Pi has won numerous
awards for its scholarship, leadership, service, and member education.
At the 2003 Grand Convention, Eta Psi received these
honors and awards:
- We received the Mary Virginia Anderson Finance Award for Improvement (an award given during Grand Convention years to chapters
that have had dramatic financial improvement over the last school year).
- We received the Adelphean Achievement Award (an award presented to chapters for submitting updates on time to The
Adelphean of Alpha Delta Pi, our official international publication, and
having at least 50% published during the last school year).
At the 2003 District Leadership Conference, Eta Psi
Chapter received several honors and awards:
- Panhellenic Average
- Continuous Open Recruitment
- Financial Improvement
- Total Membership Education
- Accounts Receivable
At the 2002 District Meeting (District IV, Mu Province), Eta Psi received these honors and awards:
- We received the Scholarship Excellence Award (an
annual award given to chapters with a 3.0 GPA or higher during all grading
periods for the calendar years of 2000 and 2001).
- We received the Achievement in New Member Education
Award (an annual award that recognizes chapters that show evidence of
change in programming and implementation that led to progress in the education
of the new members).
- We received the Achievement in Membership Education
Award (an annual award that recognizes chapters that show evidence of
change in programming and implementation that led to progress in the education
of the chapter membership).
- We received the Panhellenic Achievement Award (an
annual award that honors chapters who have demonstrated Panhellenic support
and involvement, and chapters who have excelled in exemplifying true
Panhellenic spirit).
- Sister Laura Maddox was a runner-up for the Dorothy
Shaw Leadership Award, an annual award presented to graduating
seniors who have displayed outstanding leadership on their campus and in their
chapter while achieving academic success.
- Additionally, we received the new "We Are ADPi, Hear Us Roar!" Award, due to the hard work of our previous Panhellenic
Delegate, Sister Laura Maddox, on an issue affecting our campus this past
year. When a fraternity wanted to use an inappropriate theme for a
philanthropy event, she persuaded them to use an alternate name.
At the 2001 150th Anniversary Convention in Atlanta,
GA, Eta Psi was honored:
- We received the 2001 Diamond Four Point Chapter
Award (an annual award honoring over-all chapter performance during
the past year).
- We received the Achievement in Recruitment Award (an
annual award that recognizes a change in programming and workshops that leads
to improvement in the recruitment of new members).
- We received the Scholarship Award (3.0 GPA or higher
during 1999 and 2000).
At the 2000 Volunteer Leadership Seminar, Eta Psi
received the following honors and awards:
- We received the 2000 Diamond Four Point Chapter
Award.
- We received the Achievement in Recruitment
Award.
- We received the Scholarship Award (3.0 GPA or higher
during 1998 and 1999).
- Additionally, Tamar Scott was a runner-up for the
Dorothy Shaw Leadership Award, and Linda Kornowski
received an honorable mention.
