He married Anne HERBERT in Charles Co., MD, ABT 1713.⁽⁴¹⁹⁾ Anne died 1764 in Charles Co., MD.⁽⁴²⁰⁾

He was baptized 6 APR 1696. Religion: religion unknown.⁽⁴²¹⁾ He was a planater of Charles County, Justice in 1715, Sheriff 1735-1738, member of the Lower House of the Maryland Assembly 1719-1727, Justice of Provincial Court, 1728-1735, 1738-1754, Chief Justice in 1754, Judge of the Assize Court of the Western Shore 1733 to 1749 and Colonel of the Militia.
