Nottingham is a great little city in the middle of England, which has some wonderful pubs and beer. It is the legendary home of Robin Hood, and the prettiest women in all England (allegedly!)
Most peole think of Robin Hood as being a Nottingham lad, but there is a considerable body of doubt as to whether he was based in Nottinghamshire or Yorkshire (Sherwood Forest was bloody big in them days!) Yorkshiremen claim him as being a Barnsdale lad (witness the Patrick Bergen Robin Hood.) More info on this will follow when I've organised all the links...
