Scuba diving is a fascinating hobby. I first started whilst I was still a student, at first with the diving organisation CMAS, where I took the BREVET * exam and further BREVET **. In 1995 I changed to SSI and there I progressed to become a MASTER DIVER. My favorite places for diving are Corsica, Sardinia, Elba and Croatia and for a while I also dived in caves in a charming area of Upper Austria called "Oetscher" and near the Mira waterfalls in Lower Austria, but a lack of suitably experienced diving partners made the sport unnecessarily risky for me and so I gave it up.

For some time I have also had an interest in underwater photography and now use a Nikonos 5 with Morris-flash - and macro equipment.Do take a look at the photo galleries of the different diving venues!
In May 1993 I put on a slide-show in the great hall (AUDI-MAX) of Vienna's Technical University, entitled "Corsica: Adventures underwater".
On Nov 20th and 25th 1998 I also put  on a slide-show entitled "Caribbean, Leeward Islands".

I have also had articles regularly published in MEGADIVE, Austria's leading Scuba diving magazine.
