Maintenance Cost: 3 + (20/level drain negated) or (10/STR or DEX drain)
Range: 0
Prep Time: 0
Area of Effect: personal
Prerequisite: none

With this power, the Zedek channels a weak field of energy from the positive material plane to surround his skin and protect against energy drain spells and similar undead powers. Undead existing partially on the Negative Material Plane (such as shadows, wights, wraiths, spectres, and vampires) inflict physical damage normally, but the protected Zedek suffers no drain of strength or energy level. Furthermore, the clash of energies causes any attacking undead creature to suffer 2d6 points of damage. Attackers using spells or magic to drain energy are not so harmed.

The Zedek can maintain the power for a cost of 3 per round, but must make a power check on every round she suffers an successful draining attack. If the power check is successful, the cost of countering a level draining attack is 10 points while the cost of countering a strength or dexterity draining attack is 5 points. If the power check is unsuccessful, the Zedek runs the risk of having his Negative Plane Protection overcome by the attack, and must pay double the cost or lose activation of the power and suffer the effects of the attack.

Power Score: Zedek must pay only 10/level drain or 5/STR or DEX drain negated.

20: If 20 is rolled during initial activation, Zedek loses 12 PSPs. If 20 is rolled on power check for draining attacks, she loses activation of the power.
