Sidekix: The Teen Team Sourcebook
What do sidekicks do after they grow up?
My feeling is that being a teenage superhero (sidekick or not) in the DC universe is kind of like being in a garage band. (Granted, you have to be intensely trained or have an active metagene to get in this band, but...) Eventually they grow up, and they leave the band. On the other hand, garage bands don't defeat supervillains who then go to jail and get out five or ten years later looking for revenge. Superhero teams do.
The Teen Team are definitely modeled after the Teen Titans at their Wolfman-Perez peak.
That's up to you and your needs. Here are some suggestions:
This adventure is set in the DC Universe plus: it features some extra history grafted on. You could go to the trouble of creating the entire universe but DC Heroes has all these characters built in.
Although I mention characters from DC Comics herein, I'd just like to state, categorically and without reservation, that DC Comics has not approved of this use, that I'm not making any money off it, that in no way whatsoever do I mean to infringe upon the real legal holder of the trademarks. No challenge to trademark ownership is intended or implied, and I acknowledge fully DC Comics' ownership of the trademarked items in this article.
DC Heroes is a role-playing game by Mayfair Games, Inc. produced under license from DC Comics, and Mayfair doesn't approve of me doing this, either.
