The Meadow Portal You enter a large octagon room and take a quick look around. The walls are white marble with blue unicorns carved into the stone. Aside from the carvings the only thing decorating the walls is a picture of a purple and jade equine. A door on the other side of the room, beckons to you, but you get the feeling you are not to go near it. You take a few steps towards the door, looking at it can't hurt. You study the curious carvings in the wooden door, wondering just what is behind the solid oak. You go to open it..... Before you open the door a stern voice comes from behind you," I see you have found your way to the meadow portal." Whirling around you search the room for the source of the voice. Your gaze meets only marble walls. The room is completely empty. The voice speaks again,"So many travelers get to this point, then disappear through that door." You search the room again, and your wide eyed stare falls on the picture of the equine. You nearly faint when you see it move as it opens it's mouth to continue the speech, " It leads out into the glacier which is up on the very tip of the mountain." You gape at it, "What on earth are you?!" The picture looks offended,"In case you haven't noticed, this isn't exactly earth..." You're stung by the pictures sarcastic tones. It continues without pause,"I am Moca'd~no. You could consider me to be the guardian of this portal, or perhaps Guide would be a better explanation.." He trails off, a thoughtful expression on his face. "But what are you? How can you talk?!", your voice comes out sounding slightly panicked. Moca'd~no replies haughtily,"I'm a T'zonic, we lived here long before this realm was ever seen by humans." You blink in annoyance,"How did you get trapped in a picture frame? And how can you talk?" Moca'd~no explains,"I am an object of deep magic. When the Lady of Light saw that my kind was fading slowly into extinction she captured the essence of our kind in this frame. This is how I live on." You ask another question,"Are there any of your kind alive now?" The T'zonic stops to think for a moment then answers in a solemn tone,"No, I don't believe so." You take a step back from the frame, slightly stunned by this news. You decide to change the subject,"Where did you say this door goes?" Moca'd~no eyes the door with contempt, " We loose more Wanderers that way then any other. If you would have opened the door you would have been sucked through into the glacier. " You get the feeling he's giving you a subtle reprimand. Before you have a chance to ask any more questions he changes the subject, and continues," Living in the meadow are equines of all types. When you step through the link it will take you to the place the creature is a the moment. This is very handy because some of the meadow occupants don't have a permanent home, they prefer to wander. You can see how this arrangement is handy." You take the chance and ask another question,"Who was that equine that brought me here?" Moca'd~no answers sounding slightly impaintent,"That was Primary Colors, he's the guardian for the meadows. A stallion named Dark Star used to hold the job, but now he's too busy." He continues, "Here's a visitors list, just pick a name. You should arrive somewhere near the creature in question." You open your mouth to ask another question, but you stop. Moca'd~no's eyes are closed, he looks like he's asleep. You take a look at the list.
