Change

In the 3 years that the 8^th graders have been at this school, we have faced a lot of change together, but none of those changes are as drastic as those coming on May 26^th.

Fifth graders are coming to take the place of the sixth graders, sixth graders replace the seventh, seventh replace the eighth, and all the eighth graders will move to the high school. The new sixth graders will have their best year at this school. Seventh graders will probably torture those younger than them simply because that is what has been done since the beginning of Middle School as we know it. The eighth grade will most likely thrive on the knowledge that they are leaving in only one year. The ninth grade must adjust to going from oldest to youngest, and realize that when people yell "Hey, freshmen!" they are talking to them.

Not only will there be new students, but new teachers as well. Most of the students attending Faubion at this time next year will be able to see the new and improved middle school. Although it is very uncomfortable maneuvering around (and listening to) the construction, it will be well worth it next year. Perhaps those at Faubion will be able to wave farewell to the portables next year. As for the eighth graders, we will get to enjoy a new school, but not this one. We will have to become accustom to a much bigger place of education. Many guys may be thrown in trashcans, and girls in the pool, but it will be worth it in the long run.
