AFTERNOON EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS

"The Angle of the Blade"
4 - 4:45 pm
"Jigger" Rowland, DTM

I have always felt that the most important part of Toastmasters speaking training is evaluation. I also feel that this is often the most overlooked part of our training. In my presentation we take a very unusual approach in looking at the way we evaluate. Even though the basics of evaluation remain the same, the analogy we consider will place a new light on speech evaluation.

"Yes!
You Can Get Paid to Speak!"
   4 - 4:45 pm
Connie Kadansky, DTM

Discover how you can capitalize on your gifts and talents and get paid to speak. Connie joined Toastmasters in 1990. Thanks to Toastmasters, a great mentor (Liz Bebo), and the courage to step up, she now has a national speaking and training business. Connie will share her story and give tips on how YOU, too, can get paid to speak.

"New Members?
Who Needs Them?"
4 - 4:45 pm
J.Jae Russell, CTM & Chuck Russell, ATM/CL

This session will involve an interactive discussion about the need for new members in the individual clubs and some ways to recruit and keep new members. Not all clubs "need" new members as much as they "need" to retain their current members.
