Registration begins with chairman Bill Price, ATM-B and committee
anticipating the first registrants.
Credentials co-chairs, Lee Wagner, DTM, and Juris Kursulis,
DTM, both past district governors, are looking for a majority (2/3's of
the club presidents and educational vice presidents or their proxies) to
obtain a quorum for the business meeting.
Past First Timer winner Dan Winscot, CTM, is greeting all first
time conference attendees and gaining their participation in the "ice-breaking"
activity of "getting signatures."
The Resource Center, Margy McGuire, CTM, has the display full
of Toastmasters materials.
While Opening session Parade announcer, Stefan Petra, CTM, practices
his "parade announcer voice" and the pronounciation of names.
Opening Ceremonies include club and member recognition.
Keynote
The keynote address will be given by International
Director Paula
Tunison, DTM.
Paula has been a dedicated Toastmaster for 16 years and has sponsored
and mentored clubs in California, Iowa and Japan. She has held Toastmaster
leadership positions all the way from club president to District 56 Governor,
and was elected to the Board of Directors of Toastmasters International
in 1998.
