Davis 2000 Final: Spain Vs Australia, Barcelona

Joan Balcells and Álex Corretja won in this round, but this time again they beat the one that is considered as the best couple of doubles in the world: Woodforde and Stolle, by a triple 6-4. Nobody hoped to get this point in the round, but the Spaniards played in a way they had never made and they defeated Australians. Specially excellent was the role developed by Balcells, since he did not lose his serve in any moment.

This match is the reason why I personally am quite ungry. I agree with the fact that Ferrero won his two matches, won't we minimize anybody, but WHAT does it PASS WITH THE DOUBLES MATCH? It was the point which nobody counted with, and despite all Balcells and Corretja played an epic match that should be remembered for a long time. I consider that media should have exalted the role of these two players much more than what it has been, they got something extraordinary.
