This time Joan Balcells and Álex Corretja didn't forgive to the couple formed by Todd Martin and Woodruff and won them by 7-6, 2-6, 6-3, 6-7, 6-3. It was a stressing game after which the delirium was reached in Santander, since thanks to this victory was gotten the point that gave access to the final of the Davis Cup to the Spanish team: 3-0. The following day Ferrero and Balcells also won their points and it was reached the 5-0 (many pictures of this game too).
