Telecentre Operator (Mid 1990's)

Working under the Tubbut Community I created a remote area Telecentre. This included planning based on community consultation, obtaining funds, installing of the systems, and convening the volunteer working group to run it.

System Operator (1990-1991)

I have worked extensively in the Windows /Dos environment, having successfully established a system interface allowing easier operation of these machines. My experience as Sysop encompassed a wide range of system and application software some of which are listed below. I also have experience with Bulletin Boards /File Transfer /CGI scripting.

Community Corrections (1988)

I worked in a relieving role at the Ringwood branch of the Office of Corrections. This role included the case management of 36 Offenders placed on Community-Based Orders. In addition, I assessed offenders' suitability for CBO's, wrote Parole /Pre-release reports, advised the court, referred offenders to a variety of psychological, medical, educational, and work agencies; as well as assisting them with information related to their particular difficulties.

Audio Engineer (1979-1981)

For a few years, I owned and operated an expansive four-track studio designed for the recording of music demo tapes. This studio also operated after working at Open Channel albeit in a slightly different form (to meet the needs of comedians and electronic musicians, in addition to the band demo's). The Studio was later used to record voiceovers, advertisements, and low-budget film tracks.

Music Industry (1970's to Early 1980's)

For many years I've written, performed, and recorded my own music and assisted others to do the same. I've personally released several singles, two EP's, a flexi-disc, two cassette albums, and through recording companies, have released music for two singles, compilation albums, and audio-cassette magazines. I have also produced a number of jingles.

Between 1975 and 1982 I regularly performed at local venues, clubs, and educational institutions, and have toured up and down the east coast several times. At different times I have performed as a Song- writer, Singer, Bassist and Drummer, while Managing my own Bands. Earlier I assisted Hugh McSpedden Edison Light-Show at a number of concerts in Melbourne including the Much More Ballroom series, Sunbury (1971), Q Club, etc. At one stage I printed and distributed posters and handbills promoting the major rock venues and tours in Melbourne.

Later, while working at Moomba, I assisted in the Planning and Research, then wrote the original submission for the 1988 Melbourne Music Show which was consequently produced by the Victorian Rock Foundation as a feature of Victorian Bi-Centennial celebrations.
