Lawn Renovation
Late summer and early fall are ideal times to renovate a lawn. Rainfall is usually on the rise and temperatures are falling back to a range that newly seeded lawns can more readily tolerate, yet warm enough to promote vigorous growth. However, you still need to DILIGENTLY monitor moisture levels and AUGMENT mother nature when necessary and mow at a proper height and interval to achieve the best results.
The work can include as much as top dressing your existing lawn with a layer of new loam, applying lime and fertilizer, grading, seeding, and applying a protective layer of straw mulch, to as little as one of several over seeding methods that are much less intrusive, but, in many instances may be all that is really required to give you a beautiful lush green lawn.

Leaf Removal: Complete

Are you tired of that back breaking annual rite of Autumn called leaf raking, but haven’t found a way to easily deal with it? Look no further. We have the solution to your fall cleanup conundrum. Our crew can handle your leaf problem from the time the leaves begin dropping (see Mow and Vacuum Lawn) right up to the time they have finished dropping. Or we can do one complete cleanup from the back line all the way to the road and into the trucks once the leaves are all down and all you have to do ( except for writing a check) is wave goodbye to them.
The equipment we utilize allows us to start what appears to be a massive undertaking and finish the job very quickly. For example, we have a large vacuum unit to load leaves into our trucks. We call it "Bear". (ask us why.) The efficiency of the equipment combined with a crew that thinks and operates as a unit makes it possible for us to provide you with a high quality job at a surprisingly affordable price. Leaf Windrow Pickup
If you read the section on complete leaf removal and still want to do the bulk of the work yourself but have no way to dispose of your leaves once they are raked, , for we can still be of assistance. We offer a service where you can rake your leaves to the road and we will come by and vacuum them up and haul them to a composting site. If this sounds like what you are looking for you should contact us BEFORE raking (Early October), to assure a spot on the list, and to obtain a set of guidelines and rules to follow in order to obtain the lowest possible price.( which is surprisingly low) These rules are important and failure to follow them can result in a significant increase in job time which translates into a higher charge. Mow And Vacuum Lawn
Around the beginning of October, the leaves begin to fall and accumulate on lawns. At this point we begin our "Mow And Vac" operations. This cuts the grass to maintain it at a proper height and also removes leaves that otherwise would just get chopped up and accumulate, possibly even to detrimental, smothering levels. Leaves also are a source of acids that impact the soils ph factor.
We can either haul the waste material away, (to be composted and utilized) or we can leave the material on site for you to compost. The shredded leaf and green grass combination makes an excellent compost that can be utilized in your flower beds and gardens.
