Brush Cutting and Chipping
Brush piles or overgrown (or unmaintained) perimeter plantings in your back yard can be unsightly and also takes up valuable potentially useable space. We can bring your perimeter brush (or other brushy areas) under control and in most cases we can still leave you with a reasonable screening effect.

We can also chip brush piles (up to 4" diameter material) that you have accumulated. (as long as they are not too old and dry and are limited to "Clean Brush" only). If you are contemplating cutting your own brush and having us chip it for you, contact us first so you can be advised as to some guidelines that, if followed, can save you considerable money in the long run.

Sanding
Many times throughout the winter season, your driveway or parking lot may be so slippery that it can present a liability problem, or at the very least, an impediment to safe navigation. We can help you here too, through the application of treated sand. We too are concerned about the effects of salt on the environment and therefore our "base mix" contains only enough salt to keep the loads from freezing. For those customers who indicate they want the added melting action of salt or other melting agents, we add extra salt or other agents on a load by load basis so that those who want it get it and those who don’t only get the base mix.

Although most of our clientele are plowing customers too, we also take care of people who only need us to sand. We do require that you commit for the entire season. Service can be set up as "automatic", or "call for" service. Telephone contact is limited to normal daytime business hours, therefore, automatic clients are the first ones to be done (in the predawn hours), and call for service clients generally experience a lag time between the call and the application. Parameters for automatic application are cooperatively established prior to the start of the season but you always have the option of amending them, with proper notification.

Snowplowing
We provide snow plowing services to both commercial and residential property owners who sign up for a full season commitment. Service levels are cooperatively established prior to the start of the season to fit your needs and budget, but you can always amend your level with proper notification.

Our drivers are conscientious and make return trips to properties where parked cars are a problem, and take extra care to avoid turf damage, although some is inevitable when snow must be plowed when their is little or no frost in the ground.) We operate around the clock during winter weather events. (However, telephone or other contact is limited to normal daytime business hours.)

Tree Work
Winter is a good time to prune trees or to cut unwanted brush from your yard. Many times, winter discounts can be taken advantage of to reduce your total cost. Deadwood, "cross over branches" sucker growth, and other undesirable growth needs to be pruned out on a regular basis to maintain the tree’s beauty and health. A properly maintained tree does not have much small leafy growth deep within it’s center for a variety of reasons that you can read up on from other web sites.

Our program is based on proper pruning techniques that are designed to bring or keep your trees in shape over the long haul. If we find a tree that is extremely thick with, for example, low hanging branches, lots of cross over branches rubbing on each other and lots of sucker growth, we would probably suggest a multi-year pruning program taking out some growth each year on a prioritized, limited basis to avoid putting too much stress on the tree. I could go on and on but you get the idea.

Winter is also a good time to get rid of your accumulated brush piles. ( as long as the snow doesn’t get too deep) (see Brush Cutting And Chipping)
