Calendar
There is a chinese proverb sying:Dont fear to be slow, fear only to not moving.
Of course, that is a motivation, but normaly that space should contain something else, higlight!
It could be pretty hard to explain how the Inhabitants of Val-Amer count the time since themself look at it as a countinuous thing.
Here we will try.- Of hour
The smallest thing is an "Agur".
It is the equivalent of an hour but has a variable lenght depending of the season. It split the "day" light and the "day" night in 5 equal part, no matter if the "day" is longer or shorter. Each part as its name, as follow:
English Native English Native English Native English Native English Native English Native English Native English Native English Native English Native - Of days and Nights
The day light is called a "Caïr" and lenght from the double-sun raise to the double-sun set. The other sun being considere more like an omnipresent star.
The day night is called a "Gän" and it is not always a total darkness.
- Of week
Eleven "Caïr" cycle gives a "Ksït" . Or a week, if you prefer.
The name of each "Caïr" is pretty simple...Inhabitants of Val-Amer count them from 1 to 11.
- Of year
There is 539 "Caïr" in a year( a new name is found for each year ) and thus 49 "Ksït".
- Of seasons
Season are something very peculiar for the inhabitant od Val-Amer. For them it is rather a matters of regrouping Months.
Of course, there is a cycle into this, but the order is dictated by the month rather than the season.
They change every 89 "Caïr", there is six season, name as follow:
Evenness Native By a thread Native Strange purport Native Wise are Lying Native Too much Rain Muikbah Time candor Native - Of months
Adding to that, there is months...or a "Töksït" . They divide the year in uneven part looking like a pyramid shape, as follow:
Bad year Good Year

Yes, a spiral. The thinker of the calendar sketch it in an evolutive way. So each years is looked in a 24 cycles, like in that image:
Each one being place a bit above the other. The first year of the cycle start in the edge. The first month having 47 "Caïr" .
It then move toward the center, toward a Special "Caïr";the "Etcaïr". The last month of that year counting thus 3 days as well as the first month of the next year, but separated by two "Etcaïr", back to back.
And it progressed till the edge.
The following year beginning at the edge till it meet the "Etcaïr" again.Year where the Migai is longuer is a Blessed year whereas the precedente are cursed or at least, bad.
And it progress from edge to center, then to center toward edge, endlessly.
What look like a circle, is indeed a cut in a lage spiral rising like the DNA one, you have sure seen one of these.
So for the Inhabitants of Val-Amer, not a year is totally alike, thus the need during a double "Etcaïr" to decide what will be the name of the next two year in the cycle and to "read" in which way it will influence the life of the minion.
