A Brief Bio:

Dear GoodyGoody, or Jessica Eve McGinnis as the rest of the world knows her, Was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, USA, the daughter of Harry B. Irwin and Frankie N. Bennett. She was in the Carman/Ainsworth school system until December 1996, at which time she transferred to Mott Middle College H.S., where she graduated in June 1998. She also enrolled at Mott Community College, which she attended until June 1998. She was married to Chad McGinnis on May 8 1998, now attends Cornerstone College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She and her husband are expecting a son in October. See Her Picture Album!

Spiritual History:

Jessica's grandparents, Harry and Agnes Irwin, took her to Riverdale Baptist Church from a young age. At the age of 9, in AWANA, she came to the realization that she had done things wrong, and that these things needed to be made right. So, she prayed for forgiveness, claiming the promise in I John 1:9, which says that "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and Just to forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." In her early teen years she became part of the Conquerors youth group, enjoying the friendship and uplifting atmosphere. But in fall 1994, her life changed.

After a bad break-up with a guy from her youth group, Jessica started to sour on church. She could get on fine by herself. She still attended, but it was only for show. She began to rebel against the ideals that she had been taught as a child. She became very depressed, and began to search for a bit of happiness. She tried all the usuals, friends, false religions, drugs, etc., and finally found a bit of a niche in the theatre. She was accepted there, because everyone else there was searching too. She was among fellow rejects. But something was still missing. Then in May 1995, she met someone who was exactly what she wanted to be. Open, friendly, confident, and loving. He showed her what she had been searching for: a relationship with The True Higher Power. Jesus Christ was the center of his life, and she slowly made him the center of hers, too. She began to attend Hilltop Church of God, where she was drawn into a music ministry, taught Jr. High sunday school, and started a children's Bible study.

Interests:

Our author loves the arts, especcially theatre, and has been in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; A Competition Piece; and The Leader of the Pack; among others. She also enjoys writing, drawing, and painting. She also enjoys sitting back and vegging in front of a computer for hours on end. (don't we all?) But her favorite passtime is reading a good book and sipping a double strawberry latté with friends at her favorite stores, Borders and Family Christian (yeah, we know they don't have cappucino machines... yet!)
