Fantasy Football '97 Head
to Head - Carlos vs. Luis Week 1 Reviews - Tuesday, September 9th First week action in the Head-to-Head matchup between Carlos Curro and Luis Curro was simply amazing. Let's first check the starting lineups:
As the first games on NFL Week 1 started to unfold, Luis jumped ahead with 4 TD passes by Drew Bledsoe a TD run by Karim-Abdul Jabbar, and 5 points by Chris Boniol. Carlos' only early score came from Cincinnati's Carl Pickens, as Luis lead 23-6 going into Sunday Night. Washington met Carolina on Sunday Night Football, so Luis had two players and Carlos had one playing. As the Carolina offense struggled early on, Carlos was hoping Kasay could hit some FG's late, but then Wesley Walls scored. Although the extra point was good and Kasay did hit one FG, going into Monday Night, Carlos had to overcome a 29-10 Luis lead. But the Monday Night game featured 3 Carlos' players and his Packers Defense, while Luis only had WR Antonio Freeman. Carlos had a huge break, as Freeman played very poorly. And while the game was going on, Luis' 19 point advantage soon disapeared, as Favre threw two TD passes, one for WR Robert Brooks. Levens also scored, and Favre threw a Two-Point Conversion to him. To secure the come from behind, the Packers D also scored a TD. Final score: Carlos 38, Luis 29.
