About Wicca

These are just a few facts about Wicca. For more information, try reading Scott Cunningham's book 'The Truth About Witchcraft Today'

What is Wicca? A very basic definition of Wicca is a nature based (Pagan) religion that reveres the God(s) and Goddess(es) through changes in the earth and the cosmos.

Some of the most wide-spread beliefs and practices of Wicca are reincarnation, karma, and magick.

Wicca is a rather new religion, spurting from the 50s and 60s with the help of Gerald Gardner, among many others. Witchcraft can be argued though to be pre-Christian. Wicca is the re-creation of Witchcraft into our modern lives.
Yet, being Wiccan doesn't make you a Witch. Simply believing the Wiccan belief system doesn't make you a Witch, for a Witch is someone that shapes and directs elemental magick (which is what most Wiccans do, but not those that sit on their rump). Just as if you're a Witch, it doesn't necesarilly mean you're Wiccan.

We do not practice magick that harms anything/body in any way. We do practice magick which is channeling energies from the earth, the Divine, and ourselves to produce a desired result that harms none.

Many believe our God is just like the Christian God. Some revere several Gods and Goddesses. To me they are all One.

The Earth is our home. We do not abuse it in any way. Most of everything we do is to heal the Earth and live in harmony, become one with nature.

Wicca accepts people of all sexes, nationalities, every race. No one is more qualified than anyone else.

Magick is not black or white. Magick is energy which comes from the Nature, the divine, and within ourselves. It has no color, it simply is. It just depends on the way you use it.

Witches do not want to convert you. Please do not try to convert us. We don't believe that any religion is wrong because we're all worshipping the same divinity, just in different ways. I won't tell you your religion is wrong, because no religion is wrong. The only true religion, is the one in YOUR heart.
