Purification Bath Before Ritual

Light incense and one taper candle. Place some sea salt in a white dish and water in a cup or vial (chalice). Make sure you're not disturbed. No electrical lights, just light white candles. Pick up taper candle and make three passes over the water as you say:
"By this element of fire, do I purify this ritual bath. May all impurities flee before its life".
Pick up salt and sprinkle 3 pinches of salt into bath water while saying:
"By this element of earth do I purify this ritual bath. All impure creatures may not approach it".
Slowly pass the incense 3 times over the bath while saying:
"By this element of air do I purify this ritual bath. May my hopes and aspirations rise upon the smoke to be carried by the winds to the Lady".
Pour the water into the bath next and say:
"By this element of water do I purify this ritual bath. May the bath contain the waters of life that spring from the heart of the Mother."
Lay in the bath and let your troubles seep out of you and into the water. Dry off with a white towel and light clothing. Meditate if desired and apply any annointing oil.

Symbolic Great Rite/Ceremony of Cakes & Wine

Ring the bell 3 times or tap altar 3 times with athame. Spread your feet and raise your arms to the sky. Say:
"I acknowledge my needs and offer my appreciation to that which sustains me. May I ever remember the blessings of my Lord and Lady."
Place your feet together now. Take up the 2nd goblet or chalice filled with chosen liquid in your left hand and your athame in your right hand. Slowly lower the point into the goblet and say:
"As male joins female for the benefit of both, let fruits of their union promote life. Let the Earth be fruitful and let Her wealth be spread throughout the lands."
Lay down the athame and drink from the goblet. Replace the goblet and pick up the athame. Touch it to the chosen food and say:
"This food is the blessing of the Lord and Lady given freely to me. As freely as I have received, may I also give food for the body, mind and spirit to those who seek such from me."
Eat the food and finish the drink in the goblet and say:
"As I enjoy these gifts of the God and Goddess, may I remember that without them I have nothing. So mote it be!"
Close the circle.

Birthday Rite

1 white candle
1 Black candle
Cauldron
A pen
2 pieces of paper
Good luck oil
Banishing oil
Petitioner candle
Incense

Construct magick circle. Call Quarters. Construct Altar. Invoke Goddess and God. Light Incense. Anoint black candle with banishing oil, imagning all obstacles, ill habits etc. falling away from you. Light candle and say:
"I empower this candle to absorb all negative forces acting upon me. As this candle burns, so let its powers engulf all negative energies, leaving my path clear for success".
Anoint white candle with good luck oil, imagining all good thoughts, success and positive forces flocking unto you. Light candle and say:
"I empower this candle to attract all powers wondrous and good. As this candle burns, so might it purify me as I prepare for this next journey."
Light petitioner candle and say:
"As this candle represents myself, the humble priestess, let it be a beacon for positive energies, love, light and prosperity. As this candle burns bright, so may the light of my journey burn bright with happiness and gifts from the Lord and Lady in this coming year."
Place the candle between the white and black candles. Take a moment to reflect on your past year. Especially reflect on regrets, flaws you have, mistakes you have made. Write these down on the paper. Then burn the paper over the black candle and say:
"As the snake sheds its skin, so do I shed these bad habits."
Drop this paper in the cauldron. Reflect on all things you wish to accomplish in your coming year, all traits you wish to acquire, experiences you hope to gain. Write these down on the paper. Burn over white candle and say:
"As the Lady watches over me, so shall I gain all these good things."
Drop in Cauldron. Raise your arms and say:
"On this day of my birth, may my magick be replenished and empowered. May my body be flushed with the light of the Lord and the Lady."
Thank the God and Goddess and have your cake and wine. Close your circle.

A Rite for the Earth

Go outdoors for this rite, or if this is not possible, work this rite in your place of magic. There, have ready a potted plant or four plain stones. Sit on the ground. Place your hands onto the dirt beneath you (or onto the plant or stones, if inside). Visualize the Earth from space as a blueish-white sphere of positive, whole, healed energy. Experience it as a living organism. When you're ready, say these or similar words:
Pure are the caves and plains;
Pure are the sod and hills;
Pure are the winds and skies;
Pure are the lakes and rills;
Pure are the clouds and rains;
Pure are the woods and trees;
Pure are the valleys deep;
Pure are the bays and seas.
Renew your visualization, then begin again:
Pure are the birds that fly;
Pure are the hounds and bats;
Pure are the fish and whales;
Pure are the hares and cats;
Pure are the owls and snakes;
Pure are the stags and deer;
Pure are the lizards green;
Pure are all creatures here.
Once again, renew your visualization. Feel the Earth. Block all thoughts of the ravages that our species has subjected to our planet. See the Earth as a healed, whole being. Then say these or whatever words come to mind:
As I receive your energy, now receive mine.
Pour your personal power out through your palms and into the Earth (or stones or plant). Gently send it spiralling down into our planet, lending it the strength to survive. Willingly give of yourself for a few moments while visualizing that shining blue planet hanging in the sky.
After a few moments, end the ritual by lifting your hands and standing. (If performing this rite indoors, place the stones or the potted plant onto the ground outside to allow the Earth to absorb the energy.)
