I love designing websites. Once I obtain my B.S. in Computer Science
this December, I want to work in the field of web design and development,
and I am currently seeking employment. If you would like me to design
your homepage or commercial website, please send me an email.

My Websites:
These are websites I've done for not-for-profit organizations and friends.

Mathews
Family History |
This website was created to share the
history and genealogy of the Mathews family and includes "Diary
of a Journey from Massachusetts to the Ohio Country 1798 by Dr. Increase
Matthews with Matthews Family Record," which was originally published
in 1932. |
Hampton
House |
This website was a total redesign done
for the Butler University students who live in the Hampton House on
Butler's campus. The original website was done in frames and was best
viewed at 1024 x 768. None of their image files had been resized or
compressed for use on the web. I created a liquid design using tables,
and resized and compressed their images for quick loading. I recently
added a slide show to the current events page. |
Donald
E. Gavit Middle/High School |
I volunteered to help design this site
and spent many hours on this website. However, due to an administrative
glitch, this website never made it to the Internet. Therefore, the
content on this website was never approved by the School City of Hammond.
This site is shown only to demonstrate my skills using Macromedia
Dreamweaver 4.0 and Fireworks 4.0. |

Websites Done as Coursework:
These are websites I've created as course projects. If you're going to visit these sites, please bookmark this page first as
as many don't have a link

Digital Donut |
This site is "under construction" as a class project
for my "Programming for the Web" course. The company is
fictitious. Be sure to check back often as the site will be growing
and changing over the next few weeks.
Project 1: Simple design to demonstrate to owners initial
possibilities.
Project
2A: Change to apply an external cascading style sheet for all
formatting. Project
2B: Change design by making changes only to the external style
sheet.
Note: The Perl scripts used in
following projects can only be run on a local server. I've changed
the scripts to text files for viewing and have provided web pages
to view the output from the Perl scripts. Project
3A: Add an order form and write a Perl script (Project
3A.pl) to save the ordering information in a text file (Project
3A.txt).
Project
3B: Create a customer service page to process the orders by using
a Perl script (Project
3B.pl) to retrieve the information from the text file and display
the outstanding
orders and by using a Perl script (Project
3C.pl) to deliver
the next outstanding order.
Project
4A: Add JavaScript functions to verify each form data element
entered by the user. Project
4B: Displays the customer service page and Project
4.txt: Displays the data file witten in Project4A and used by
Project4B.
Project
5: Add two dynamic elements to the project by using JavaScripts.
I added a textbox "advice"
script to the order page, and a mouse-over
script on the customer service page.
Project
6: Add two Java applets to the project. I added a daily
quote to the index page and alternating
advertising banners to the order page.
Project 7: Construct an XML document, called Donutorders1.xml
using table data provided by the instructor. As Geocities does not
allow the file extensions of .dtd and .xsl, I cannot show the results
of Donutorders2.xml or Donutorders4.xml. Construct Donutorders3.xml
using a CSS file called Donutorders3.css
(I modified the file to remove the original referrence to the .dtd
file). |
Build A Well
Designed Website Using Netscape Composer 6
Build A Well
Designed Website Using Netscape Composer 4 |
This site was designed as a "how to" paper for the Intensive Writing course. The inspiration
for this paper came from a soccer mom whose son wanted to design a web page for a school project.
This site was also built using Netscape Composer 4 and 6. I got an A on this paper. |
Franklin Elementary School |
This site was designed for my Individual Programming Lab course to illustrate to
the Franklin teachers what could be done for their site. A sewn image on a piece of material was scanned and then
the image was touched up to create the Ben Franklin logo. This site was never completed due to the course time constraints.
This site was built using Microsoft FrontPage. I got an A for the course. The recent update was to change filenames and
links from htm to html and to remove a hit counter. |
Cool Links for Kids |
This site was designed as a project
for my Intro to Marketing Management course. This site was designed
using Netscape Composer 4, and was my first web site. I got an A on
this project. |

More sites coming soon, so check back often.
