Acolyte

Thank goodness I caught you! Don't read the rules! They're evil and look bad! We promise you'll learn everything you need to know about the game itself in a better way!

We know our rules LOOK complicated, but they're not that bad. That's why we have an service called "Acolyte". Through Acolyte, you can watch a spar (a quick, training battle) in action and watch how the game works. Throughout that one spar, you'll learn near every rule that REALLY matters in the game. After you've watched the spar, a GM would be happy to explain any of the rules to you and answer any question.

To apply for Acolyte, simply email drayncombat@hotmail.com with "Acolyte" in the subject bar and a message telling us which Instant Messanger Programs you would like to use. You will recieve a reply, telling you when a spar will be taking place. If you show up at the time given, we will show you around!

Reading List

We at Drayn Combat understand that our rules are a total mess (we think so too). That's why we will be organizing the rules into two sections, Things You Should Read and Things Easily Learned in a Spar. Yes, we'll come up with better titles. For now, here is a reading guide.

Before You Watch a Spar:
- What Rules?
- Everything You Need to Know to Play (Basic Rules)
- FAQ: not necessary, but it doesn't hurt.

After the Spar:
- Death and Dying
- Statistics (GMs may be helpful here)
- Hybrid Races
- Races (GMs may be helpful here)
- New Players

If the Curiosity Overcomes You:
- Combat Procedure (You mostly learn it during the spar).
