This was a one-day visit, to send "BOKASI" as we had promised before. Our car left Medan at 5:30 in the morning and got there at 11:30. There is going to be one more experimental field, besides Mr. Ismail's field we had been working on so far.
A truck carrying bokasi had already set off the night before. On our way, we came across the truck already on its way back. As soon as we arrived, we headed for the field to see the water running. Sufficient amount of water is coming in through the repaired channel, pumped up from a river a few kilometers away.
In Mr. Ismail's field, EM and organic matter have already been put in. After that, it has been rinsed 3 times to wash away the salt. Just before rice seeds are planted, the BOKASI we brought today will be added. In the new experimental field, water for washing out will be put in, followed by BOKASI.
There is an apparent gap in farmers' eagerness and the progress of experiment. While hoping for success, we need to wait patiently.
