New Area to Explore! Wedding Shower in Memphis!
I would like to say a special thank you to my aunt, Joan Jackson, for hosting a beautiful bridal shower at the Colonial Country Club in Memphis, Tennessee on Saturday, April 28th. I had a wonderful time; the food was pretty and tasty, and Aunt Joan kept me organized while I opened all the nice gifts! All of her efforts, as well as those who co-hosted the shower, Aunt Elaine Coates, Aunt Betty Jackson, Lynn Anthony, Cheri Krotzer, and Jeannie Smith, are greatly appreciated. Also, a special thank you is in order to my uncle, Boyd Jackson, who treated the men to lunch and a day of golf at the club. They had a great time and came back exhausted.

*On a personal note *
Uncle Boyd and Aunt Joan,
We enjoyed spending time with you this weekend. These are memories that I will always cherish. Thanks so much for everything! Love Kaci

Well, honestly, this whole wedding thing is just a little bit overwhelming. I am very excited about it- as I assume every bride-to-be is, but there is an awful lot to think about. We have set a date and soon will notify our wedding party. The next step will be finding a suitable place to have the ceremony and reception. There is a nice Nashville wedding site online that lists different venues that are commonly used. We plan to take a look at these soon. Besides some batting around of ideas with Joe and my family, that is about as far as I have gotten with wedding plans. I can't think beyond that right now. My first order of business is securing a job for the fall and a temp job for the summer. I have some leads on the former and an interview with the latter (Kelly Services). Joe and I are also looking at houses, which is a whole other process in itself. It really is a lot of fun having all of these exciting things before us, but it is hard to know where to begin.

I am very interested in any wedding ideas, neat things other people have done, etc. I have a lot of ideas of my own, but I would love to have a few more to chose from. Thanks for checking out our page. I hope to update it soon with more news from - The Bride's Side.
