Entry 15: May 31, 2001
This weekend I was flown in to Orlando, FL and was treated to a weekend on bachelor like festivities. Henry picked me and my golf club box up at the airport and we went to the Grand Bohmeian Hotel in downtown Orlando. We met a group of old buddies in the penthouse suite that was rented out for the occassion and headed to Kate O'Briens where we enjoyed all that the outdoor establishment had to offer in the way of music and atmosphere. We also visited Club Antigua, a new nightclub in the area. After all that fun we turned in for the evening.
The next day we ate lunch at the House of Blues at Downtown Disney and played golf at the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, a PGA rated facility. We ate dinner at a steak house near the course and that concluded day 2.
The final day was spent at Steve and Devin's house on a lake. We played volleyball, had a barbque, and went water tubing on the lake. That night we saw the movie Pearl Harbor (which I don't recommend you see without a pillow).

The next morning, Henry drove me back to the airport and I came home to good ole' Tennessee. All in all, it was the one of the most fun times I have ever had and I want to thank everyone who participated in my bachelor party. As I promised pictures were taken of all the festivities and here they are!!

Its almost here! This weekend is the big event Henry, Steve, Devin, Curtis, and Tavis have been planning! I have not been told a thing about it and it has me wondering a bit. All I get is cryptic messages from my groomsmen telling me to "Bring your golf clubs", or "Bring Sunscreen". Henry tells me I have little time as it is a packed weekend. Sounds great to me! I'll keep ya'll posted on how it went with photos!

The honeymoon is all paid off! Yahoo! Just one of many things left to pay as we come down to the final month before the wedding! Oh my goodness...only 1 more month! Quick, I better look busy!
Our caterer and cake baker is The Bake Shoppe in good old Murfreesboro. I have been working with them to help them design a web site in a barter agreement to defer the cost of the catering. It has been a load of fun working on it! Click here to see a special sneak preview of the site. Please note that it is still under much construction!
We have been receiving response cards almost daily now as well as gifts. Its quite an exciting time. Today is Kaci's second school shower, to be thrown at Smyrna High School. Her first was this past Saturday put together by Kaci's friends Edie and Brooke. Kaci tells me she had a wonderful time!
There is alot going on!I hope it doesn't move too fast or we may forget to enjoy it! Signing off this is Joe, groom and man about Murfreesboro!

Entry 13: May 3, 2001
Last weekend we had our first Wedding Shower in Memphis! Actually it was Kaci's shower and I went along to play golf with Kaci's Uncle, her father, and her family's friends. They did great! Me on the other hand....errr.... Let's just say .I haven't picked up a club in over a year and thats my excuse for such a pitiful showing.
It was an awesome past weekend and we all had alot of fun! To see Kaci's take on the whole deal and the pictures from the shower click here!

The groomsmen and fathers are all measured for tuxes and the secondary payment installments are beginning for music, photographer, caterer, and the such. Ahhhhh...less than two months! A while back we put announcements in the paper for our engagement. I always meant to scan one in and post it on the site but I never got around to it. Click here to view the announcement we used in New Hampshire!
Henry and my groomsmen are throwing me a Bachelor Party this coming up Memorial Day weekend. I leave the Friday before and return the Monday after. Henry promises me that it will be a wholesome, peachy keen, good and clean time! Henry has been known to bend the truth in past however .Anyways I'll let ya'll know how it went after I get back!

Entry 12: April 9, 2001
11 weeks away and coming fast! No changing news as of yet but seeing as this weekend coming up is Easter I wanted to wish you all a Happy Easter!
Something I forgot to mention earlier last month was we had our first counseling session with Pastor Allen Jackson. All went well without any real issues popping up. PHEW! So we got the first stamp of approval for our marriage!
This month will be the first of Kaci's showers for the wedding, near Memphis. I and and the men folk will be playing golf so as to be kept out of the way. It should be fun!
Last weekend we started packing the invitations and getting them ready for mailing either this Friday or Saturday. I was the stuffer and stamper while Kaci, her mom, and sister wrote the addresses. I think they kept me away from the calligraphy pens due to what they call ,"my messy handwriting".

I have finally picked my fifth and final grooms man! Steve Tibstra hailing from Orlando Florida! Go here to check out Steve's stats!
Kaci, her mom, and sister met with the caterer this past Wednesday at World Outreach Church. From what I gathered they have some wonderful ideas for the reception space! They also have had their eyes peeled for extra decorating and reception ideas at different local venues. Its been a full time job as Kaci has had this past week off from teaching at Smyrna High for Spring Break!

Only 3 more months to go! The wedding day is coming at a break-neck pace
!
My cousin's wedding was a great time! It was a very nice ceremony and reception that offered something for everyone that attended. It gave Kaci and I plenty of ideas as to what to expect, what to change, and what we like. It also helped me to see the whole look and feel of a wedding and why colors of the bouquets are so important. The balance of the groomsmen versus the bridesmaids and the entire flower arrangements are intricate parts to the layout and attitude of the service. It was very nice indeed.
I have arrived at the tuxedo my groomsmen and I will wear as well as the fathers and ushers. It will be a very simple yet regal look that Kaci's keen eye has approved. Groomsmen, fathers, and ushers are getting fitted in their respective towns even as you read this. Like I said...break-neck pace!
There is actually so much going on that from now on it'd be easier for a weekly update rather than monthly as to what have accomplished. So be sure to check back each Monday for the news of the week prior. Until next time keep well and God Bless!

Kaci and I have finally decided on our honeymoon destination. It is none other than a 7 day cruise to the eastern carribean aboard the Royal Carribean Explorer of the Seas. This boat is 60,000 tons bigger than any other I have been on weighing in at 142,000 tons! Its huge! We are very excited! For a brief description along with some snapshots of the boat click here!
This weekend my cousin Tamara Bowman is getting married to Christopher Ciupik in Orlando, FL. It seems everyone that I know is getting married...including myself! Kaci and I will fly in on Saturday for the Sunday ceremony and reception! It promises to be a wonderful time as it will serve as a miny family reunion on my father's side.

We are still plucking away at preparing for our ceremony in June. Most major aspects are booked leaving only me finding a tuxedo. Kaci has her opinion and I have mine in the style and cut. I'm sure after this Sunday we both have a better idea of what to expect for everything!
Until our next post take care and God bless!

Christmas and New Years was great! We have tons of pictures from our visit to New Hampshire. Hopefully we will get those up as soon as possible.
While in NH Joe's family threw an engagement party for us. It was wonderful and we enjoyed their company very much! That night we had 15 inches of snow! It was a mighty fun snow shoveling time!
The site has a slightly different look for the Valentine's Day Holiday coming up. If you didn't notice it on the front page we have a new game in time for Hearts Day. Its the "Valentine Buddy Creator". Take a moment to play around with it here and print your sweetie a Valentines Day card!
We have settled on a caterer and we are in process of looking for a music. It's up in the air between a DJ or a Band. As we find out more we will certainly keep ya'll posted!
We have sent out "Save the Date" cards to make planning much easier for those of you travelling. The date of the wedding is Friday, June 22nd at 7pm at night. These are not the invitations as those will be sent out at a later date.
For those of you making travel plans to come to Tennessee in June we have booked hotel rooms to help you make your stay that much easier. For more information on the hotels, airlines, and travel directions please click here or go to the "Travel Information" link under "Points of Interest" to the left!
Wow! Thats a big news post with tons of vital information! Please check back here monthly to get the newset information! Take care and have a Happy Valentines Day!

It's almost Christmas time! This Friday Kaci and I fly to New Hampshire to visit with my family! We will be there from Christmas to New Years. I will surely go skiing and Kaci will surely go shopping (no sales tax in NH! ).
This past week end Kristy Krotzer, one of Kaci's bridesmaids, came to visit Murfreesboro. Kaci, Kelly, Kristie, and Kaci's mom all went to try on bridesmaids dresses. They found the perfect dress, or so I was told, and pictures of the event will be up shortly on the Brides Side.
As we get ready for the Holidays I hope you all fare well and travel safely. Kaci and I would like to thank you for visiting our site and helping us reach over 500 hits and making it to the TOP 50 of Wedding Web Sites!! Take care and Merry Christmas! Oh, and Henry Happy Hanukkah!

This should be a quick post. I was informed that this past weekend Kaci bought her wedding dress! Yes you read right...her dress! Well things are rushing like wild fire and the 22nd of June is only getting closer!
This weekend Kaci and I will be registering and hopefully ordering save the date cards and invitations. Hopefully all will go smoothly !

I was also given notice that this web site is listed on the TOP 50 Wedding Websites. To vote for this site to move higher up the list click here to access the link that will allow you to vote. Thank you in advance :o)

Entry 5: Oct. 23, 2000

These posts seem to come once a month, actually we post news whenever we have any so here is our latest! We have put our first photography downpayment on the occasion that will take place in only 8 months. That being the case June 22, 2001 is the definite date of the ceremony! Kaci has kept herself busy by visiting florists, the church, and trying on wedding dresses. Boy oh boy this is getting serious! All kidding aside, Kaci and I am are getting really excited as we start to realize how soon the ceremony is!

As the holiday season approaches we have made plans for those events also. Halloween will be spent volunteering at the WOC Hoedown, Thanksgiving will be a local affair as we chow down on some great southern cooking and enjoy family, Christmas and New Years will be spent in New Hampshire where Kaci and I will enjoy Northern hospitality supplied by my parents! Hopefully while in NH I'll be able to get a little skiing in! Well until we have more information to dispel take care and be sure to come back and visit!

Entry 4: Oct. 2, 2000
I know we said in entry 3 that we had found a place...the country club and all. Well due to some ideas and changing thoughts we have arrived at hopefully our last location. Kaci really likes the idea of a nightime service and reception. So we are going to have the reception at the World Outreach Interdenominational Church in Murfreesboro. The reception will be held in the atrium of the church. It is a very lovely location with a waterfall font and high ceilings. This coupled with the flows and candles Kaci has envisioned it should surely be a sight!Alas, due to all this shifting that date has been moved also. June 22, 2001 is the magic time! I hope to promise this is the last change but only time will tell. Kaci has been in constant contact with our photographer and she has begun speaking to florists. As news progresses we will update this site so be sure to check back regularly!

Entry 3: Sept. 1, 2000
Finally after two months of let downs and dead ends in our search for a reception location we have finally found the place! We will be celebrating at the Stones River Country club right in Murfreesboro! We also have compromised on an InterDenominational church for the ceremony. As Kaci was raised southern protestant and I a northern Catholic this seemed best for all concerned. Also, as they say, "When in the South, do as the Southerners".

Entry 2: July 11, 2000
A few weeks ago I was hired to teach 10th grade English at Smyrna High School, which is about 12 miles from here. I am very excited. What is really neat is that school does not start until 8:15! That’s a whole hour later than I had expected! School starts for students on August 16th. We start on the 14th, but I will be in a lot sooner to get my room ready.

Joe and I have given up on the house search. We just have too many things going on right now, that trying to buy a house on top of everything else was getting stressful. We have decided to put all our energies into work and wedding planning. We found a really great 2-bedroom apartment that Joe will be moving into on July 29th. We will probably live there together for at least a year after we get married and then resume our house hunt.

As for wedding plans, we are narrowing down reception locations. We are also meeting with a photographer this week and soon will have our engagement photos made. After they are done we will be placing announcements in newspapers. We will let you know when they will come out so that you can look for them!

Also, look for the announcement of the wedding party! The Bridesmaides and the Groomsmen can be seen on the left navigation bar!

Entry 1: June 10, 2000
Joe and I were engaged on May 30th 2000 at a beautiful and special place in Orlando, Florida. We moved to Murfreesboro, Tenessee that following weekend. Joe will start work on June 12th. He will be doing web design for EHC - a division of Columbia/HCA. I am currently at the arranging & receiving paperwork stage, so I can go to the Board of Education & setup interviews. I am excited and anxious to get a job !
