#Ef*Armistice and #Ef*Telaxia are channels on Sorcery IRC based in the year 2304. Earth has fallen to nuclear war, and in the fires of destruction a massive effort was made to evacuate all who wished to leave and seek a new home among the stars. This is the story of the only ship carrying thousands of brave souls, the Armistice.
Earth Fall allows for many different types of characters. You can choose to be in the military, a civilian, there are even prisoners aboard and three non-human races. This is a quick guide to getting started in our channel. First off, the Armistice is run by the military in the post apocalyptic future. The concept is that it is a safe haven for civilians that are in danger of losing their lives or have lost their homes to the war.
You can certainly be a part of the military that's onboard and running the ship, but please, try to choose a low ranking officer or enlisted rank to begin with. The reason for this, is that the OPs would like to see not only how you play before giving you a lot of responsibility but would like to give your character the opportunity to build through promotion.
On the ship the technology is quite futuristic. There are food synthesizers, holodecks and laser weapons. You can visit the Technology page for more references. After you have thought up a character you can submit a character sheet to the OPs and provided there are no problems you'll be on your way. You don't have to choose a human from Earth, however. You can also choose to role play one of the alien life forms the Armistice has come in contact with via the planet Telaxia. Please refer to the 'Races' page.
