The last bastion of hope for a dying planet, The Armistice travels
the skies in search of better world for its inhabitants.
A mile long in length, this ship is literally a flying planet all on
its own; however, one can only have the metal of a deck under ones
feet for so long. It is the hopes and desires of all aboard to one
day have the feel of a planet's earth under their feet once again.
Let us begin, at the beginning, as one should always do. Earth, our
home for centuries upon centuries has suffered the burden of nuclear
holocaust. What remains is but a remnant of its former glory, and
unable to support much life, if any at all without repercussions. It
was then, that The Armistice was created, to prolong human life. She
was set to voyage, taking to the confines of an infinite space to
find a new home.
She is not unprotected, as there is a small group of volunteers that
has taken to the make shift military and defense of the valiant ship
and those that would call her home. Another story for another day
perhaps. Let us focus upon the people, the men and women and children
that make everyday life livable for those around them. Many find the
areas of the town currently unnamed aboard The Armistice to be a
place of peace and hope. Here you will find people trading their
goods, sharing what they have with others, enjoying holo-vid
projections of classic movies, and the like.
Here, money is non-existent, for with it comes a great folly.
Money is the route of all evil and as such, things are traded fairly,
and traded again, so that all may enjoy the things that do not need
be synthesized. The Promenade is a common gathering place for such
trades, and to experience the company of others aboard this flying
country. Here, the daily allotment of food and supplies can be
gathered by each family, kids can play games, and the adults can get
themselves a stiff drink.
The housing isn't always the greatest of things, but each person
has a bed to sleep in, and the basic commodities of life. One can
never complain. Daily work routines are available for the restless,
and no help is turned away. Schooling for all that wish to learn,
history, arts, you name it, and it's available for you to partake in.
Every possible occurrence has been planned for to provide an easier
easier time for all.
The sick are tended to by an excellent and skilled doctoral staff,
complete with nurses. Medicines are synthesized, and treatment for
a variety of things, down to broken bones and small cancers are
easily available to the sick and injured. Every person is important,
and all are treated with equal vigor and importance.
Recently we have come across a new planet called 'Telaxia', on this planet three new races have been discovered. One of warriors, one of scientists and one of illusive fliers. Every day the human race tries to discover more about them and figure out rather or not we can coexist with them or if our search needs to continue.
Where we go from here, and what is to become of us isn't known,
nor is it argued about much. We trust in those that guide us, and
have faith in our fellow man as we all become closer. The space
around us will provide us with a home at its lenience and we will
welcome it and work hard to find and nurture it, and thrive where
we have failed in the past.
For now the ship is our home, and we will do all that we can to keep
it safe.
