EARTHQUEST environmental consulting is a full service planning, environmental, consulting and project management organization. Our team consists of Project Managers, Terrestrial Biologists, Aquatic/Wetland Biologists & GIS Technicians. In addition, we have access to a large network of national and international professional experience (contract employees) in oil & gas infrastructure design and construction, permits & planning, environmental inspection for pipelines and environmental site characterization and remediation, civil engineering with professional engineers, environmental scientists, geologists, hydrologists, GIS specialists, regulatory and permitting specialists, urban and land use planners, public involvement graphic support specialists and senior technical advisors. We offer a wide array of on the job professional skill training and certification in the following areas;
i. Ecological Land Classification (provincial and national)
ii. Wetland Evaluation as a sub-component of our Wetland studies course(provincial and national)
iii. Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs); phase I, II and III
iv. Environmental Impact Statements (EIS's)
v. GIS; ArcView platform (ArcMap & ArcCatalogue)
vi. Field logistics & staffing/management
vii. Environmental laws: policies and compliance; international, national and provincial
Many of the above certifications and skills are requirements or prerequisites for finding and maintaining employment and you simply will not get hired without them. This program is also a good choice for those considering making a career change into the environmental industry, but don't have alot of skills or qualfications. If you lack some or all of the academic, professional or personal skills necessary to apply to jobs in the environmental industry this program will help provide most of the skills you will need. It is strongly recommended that if you are considering obtaining employment in the environmental consulting field that you obtain your professional skill upgrades and certifications by October, 2009 since we will be awarding contracts to those who successfully complete required certification courses starting in October, 2009. The following certifications are required/prerequisite for working in the environmental consulting field.
GIS certification
Ecological Land Classification certification
Wetland evaluation certification
certification in flora and fauna identification and survey methodology for the region you wish to work (Ontario has 5 forest regions).
It is strongly recommended that candidates choosing to apply to environmental consulting jobs obtain these certifications;

Bird certification courses
Management/leadership certification course
Management/leadership certification is required for Teaching positions at the EARTHQUEST Biological Field School, or Project Manager positions for projects and contract positions.
