HIV and AIDS

HIV stands for "Human Immunodefeciency Virus". It is a virus which can dammage the body's defence system so it cannot fight off certian infection. Over a period of time the HIV virus turns in to full blown AIDS, this period can take months but it can also take years. AIDS stands for "Aquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome."
When a person contracts AIDS their body becomes susceptable to any kind of illness of virus which the body is too weak to fight off. There is a myth that AIDS is most rife in Homosexulas this is not true AIDS can be contracted by anybody anywhere, in any country at any time if precautions are not taken. The diesease is wicked and unfortunatly no cure has been found for AIDS or for HIV.

HIV can be treated and controled to prolong the process of AIDS developing however it can't stop the process it just mearly slows it down. These drugs can often have serious side effects and can make one feel very sick, tired and subdued. Both the statistics of people contracting AIDS and HIV is on the increase worldwide which is why more precautions have to be taken to enusre the safety of the human race. Peoples ignorance makes leads them to believe that gay men are the carriers of the diesease and that they are more susceptable to catching it. This claim is totally untrue, gay men are no more at risk than hetrosexual men of contracting AIDS
provided they practice safe sex. Although that doesn't mean that one can't contract the diesease, you must still be vigilant and take precautions, that means never indulge in sexual activity without a condom

Neither AIDS or HIV can be passed on throught the following :
Kissing, touching, hugging or shaking hands.
Shaving crockery and cutlery or if food has been prepared by somebody with the diesease.
Coughing and sneezing, contact with a toilet seat in swimming pools or from insect/animal bites.
HIV and Aids can however be transmitted through the following :
All sexual activities wheather it be hetrosexual or homosexual.
Shareing hyperdermic needles, and any contact with blood

Measures to be taken to minimilise the risk of contracting AIDS and HIV. Always use extra strong condoms such as Durex extra strong. Always use a lubricant for anal sex so the condom is less likely to split. Never let a man ejaculate in your mouth use flavoured condoms. Never share hypodermic needles and always remember to use a condom as it could save your life.
