RainbowRainbows

A world of new friends, fun activities and lots of things to do :
Any girl between the ages of 5 and 7 can become a Rainbow Guide. Joining a local group means that fun is guaranteed - Rainbows explore and discover their world, playing games, taking part in creative activities, listening to stories and singing songs.
Whether indoors or out and about on trips, the girls share adventures with new friends and also discover just how good it feels to be kind and helpful to others.

Like all Guides, the Rainbow programme is based on the five essentials and the eight points of Guiding : at Rainbow Guide level, these translate into simpler concepts to suit the age group but they provide a framework to ensure that the programme is balanced and varied and meets all the girls' needs.

As far as Rainbows are concerned, the Five Essentials of Guiding are :
Rainbow Guides work together in small groups
Rainbow Guides are encouraged to govern themselves and to make their own decisions
Rainbow Guides have a balanced and varied programme
Rainbow Guides care for the individual
Rainbow Guides share a commitment to a common standard
and the Eight Points are :
