The
enrichment of technology across the curriculum for Vaughn
Road Elementary students will be the main focus of our
technology plan for 2002-2003. Listed below are several
ways the faculty will implement to help submerge our
students in technological applications and methods.
- Teachers
will document the state mandated 60 minutes per
week in individual classroom lesson plans.
- Media
Specialist Mrs. Rogers will actively and
regularly instruct students about ways to
research using the Internet and WWW. These
lessons will be in conjunction with the lesson
plans the regular classroom teachers submit to
Mrs. Rogers.
- Fixed
time in the Internet computer lab for K-6 grade
students will be directed by Mr. Gluschick on
technology topics the regular classroom teacher
submits to him.
- A
selection of one student per homeroom in grades 1-6
will be given to Mrs. Williamson for the Apple
BYTES Tech Club. Apple BYTES will be meet on a
monthly basis during Project: CLASS. Mrs.
Williamson will cover subjects that pertain to
upkeep of the system, new software, and sites
that the regular classroom teachers can use to
make learning more meaningful for each student.
- The
following after-school enrichment schedule will
be implemented in 2002-2003 to teach students on
each grade level. Topics and exact dates will be
posted at a later date. Students will be admitted
on a first come, first served basis.
