Apple BYTES Tech Club was organized in 2000 in an effort to train at least one child per classroom to troubleshoot 'simple' things that come up in the classroom. This tech club for students meets during the Project: CLASS mini-curriculum. (This is an enrichment time when volunteers from the community come to school to teach what they know best for 45 minutes. Project: CLASS usually meets the third Friday afternoon each month excluding August and May.) Students learn things like how to clean a mouse, how to set up a computer, how to run a program, etc. In addition, time is given to them to navigate a site that is recommended by Mrs. Williamson. The student then takes this information back to his homeroom teacher to share with classmates.
