BS NURSING

This course is designed to prepare the students for professional midwifery and nursing services for the promotion of health, prevention of illness and rehabilitation and restoration of health. After the first two years, students enrolled in ladderized curriculum are expected to obtain a Diploma in Midwifery and are qualified to take the midwifery licensure examination. Upon completion of all requirements, the student may proceed to obtain a BS Nursing Degree after an additional two years.

In the regular curriculum, the student follows the straight BSN’s curriculum.

Possible Jobs/Career: Independent Midwifery Practitioner, Rural Health Midwife(DOH), Hospital Aide, Doctor’s Aide, Hospital Nursing (ward nurse administrator), Community Health Nursing, School Nursing, Military Occupational Nursing, Nursing Home, Hospice Care, Nursing Education, Research, Office Nurse (attached to Doctor’s clinic), Private Duty Nurse, Independent Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Entrepreneur.
