Highlights

Bicol University has always been the home for intelligent,
talented and versatile bicolano students. It had always been
the forerunner in showcasing local talents; and uplifting and
promoting artistry in the bicol region. Not only does it provide
dynamic instruction--academic wise, but it never fails to introduce
certain innovations in pursue of excellence. The school recognizes
the value of extra-curricular activities in shaping one’s character
and developing leadership traits. So, its students are encouraged
to participate in activities that would enrich their knowledge and
deepen their awareness with our society.

MS. BU 2004

THE FOLLOWING EVENTS ARE CONSIDERED TO BE THE HIGHLIGHTS
EVERY SCHOOL YEAR:

IN TERMS OF BEAUTY AND REPRESENTATION WE HAVE:

THE SEARCH FOR MR. AND MS. BU, where gorgeous and
smart ladies and gentlemen compete for the crown; and its hilarious
counterpart, THE SEARCH FOR MS. DARK PINK.
This is the one of the most anticipated pageant where certified
machos imitate beauty queens and outrageously battle it out for the title.

TWO OF THE MOST CELEBRATED ACTIVITIES IN BU ARE:

BU FOUNDATION WEEK AND SCHOLAR’S FEST-where
different activities and competitions are organized for the best of the
best of students from each unit and colleges to battle it out.

There are also these leadership training where the university has been
faithfully joining in. Two of which are: THE REGIONAL CONGRESS
OF YOUTH LEADERS (RCYL)
; and THE STUDENTS GOVERNESS
TRAINNING (SGT)
.

And because BUENOS are party people and loves to rock and roll,
we’ve got band concerts like OVERLOAD, GROUNDZERO and
ACOUSTIC FREEDOM where everybody can loosen a little and have fun.

DARK PINK NOW ON ITS 13TH YEAR...
Thirteen years and still rocking Legazpy city.
This event is being organized by the BU
architecture students annually.

SHE'S THE ONE....
JEANNE LINDY SILO, 3rd year journalism student
was crowned Ms. BU 2004.
