The Miracles of Generosity

As a result, Sis. Amelita's generosity has been rewarded by the Lord with a baby boy that her husband and in-laws wanted so much, though her doctors determined by ultrasound in the 7th-8th month that the baby she was carrying was a girl! Not only that, she was rewarded with a vacation in Manila to attend the Ninth Anniversary of the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI—all expenses paid! This is one of the most touching stories ever told in this ministry, which only the faith, love, and unity can achieve.

El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI, Hong Kong Chapter

Hong Kong, is the largest overseas chapter of the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI. It has a following of forty thousand prayer-partners, more or less, by now. All members and followers look after the interest of one another.

The Foundation rents two expensive flats, where volunteer-workers of El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI who have been terminated or whose contracts have expired can stay for free until they find new employers. Because of their generosity in voluntarily giving their tithes and miracle seed-of-faith offerings, most members have high-paying jobs and their employers have started to join them in their prayer-meetings and fellowships. Can you imagine such a domestic helper receiving a monthly pay of HK$8,000?

The Meaning of Generosity

Generosity comes from the word generous, which means free in giving or sharing; unselfish; high-minded; abundant and ample. It is one of the strong character traits of a true disciple of Christ. It is Christianity in action. One can never be a real Christian and will never experience the joy of his salvation until he puts into practice generosity—the heart of the Gospel of Christ Jesus.

A generous person becomes a living channel of God's grace and an expression of His love. He finds joy, peace, and contentment in helping others, sharing his life, time, talent, and treasure for the Lord. He is a thankful and prayerful person, free from fear and worry.

"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the Law of the Lord and on His Law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever He does prospers" (Psalm 1:1-3).

The prayers of a generous person are powerful and effective. His tithes and alms are a fragrant offering and a pleasing sacrifice to God which assure him of His protection and care (Acts 10:1-4). God continuously supplies all his needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:17-19) that he may continue to abound in every good work.
