The Miracles of Generosity

As a result, Sis. Amelita's generosity has been rewarded by the Lord with a baby boy that her husband and in-laws wanted so much, though her doctors determined by ultrasound in the 7th-8th month that the baby she was carrying was a girl! Not only that, she was rewarded with a vacation in Manila to attend the Ninth Anniversary of the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI—all expenses paid! This is one of the most touching stories ever told in this ministry, which only the faith, love, and unity can achieve.

El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI, Hong Kong Chapter

Hong Kong, is the largest overseas chapter of the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI. It has a following of forty thousand prayer-partners, more or less, by now. All members and followers look after the interest of one another.

The Foundation rents two expensive flats, where volunteer-workers of El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI who have been terminated or whose contracts have expired can stay for free until they find new employers. Because of their generosity in voluntarily giving their tithes and miracle seed-of-faith offerings, most members have high-paying jobs and their employers have started to join them in their prayer-meetings and fellowships. Can you imagine such a domestic helper receiving a monthly pay of HK$8,000?

A generous person amazingly does not run out of things to share, such as his time, talent and treasure because El Shaddai, Who supplies the generous person with seed to sow, and bread for food to eat, will also enlarge the harvest of his righteousness or goodness. The blessings that God will pour out on you, in return for what you have given to the work of the Lord (in preaching the Gospel) you will also eventually give generously to your neighbors, relatives, friends, and other people, and soon you will discover the real joy in giving!

True Christianity

True Christianity is not what you know, but what you do about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Listen to what Jesus said: " ‘Why do you call me, "Lord, Lord" and yet don't do what I tell you? Anyone who comes to Me and listens to My Words and obeys them—I will show you what he is like. He is like a man who, in building his house, dug deep and laid the foundation on rock. The river flooded over and hit that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But anyone who hears My Words and does not obey them is like a man who built his house without laying a foundation; when the flood hit that house it fell at once—and what a terrible crash that was!" (Luke 6:46-49).

The Bible further tells us that "Anyone who listens to the Word but does not do what It says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror, and after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect Law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does" (James 1:23-25).

In short, your blessings and miracles are measured by what you are doing according to the Word of God that you hear. The true disciple of Christ is one whose main trait is sharing his Christian love, wisdom and assets, not in words alone, but by his works and deeds, without fear of losing anything, because he believes in his Master's "more than enough supply," which does not run dry. A generous person, even in times of great difficulties around him, will never lack anything, because his supply comes from God's unlimited storehouse (Malachi 3:10).

The generous man knows that whatever he gives away will return to him a hundredfold. It is a miracle seed that God joyfully multiplies back to that person. " ‘Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you’ " (Luke 6:38). A generous man will always prosper, for he who helps others, will himself be helped (Proverbs 11:25). This is a statement of fact which came from the wisest and richest man who ever lived—King Solomon of Israel.

Charity Begins with El Shaddai

Our God Himself has shown the example. He taught by example. John chapter 3, verse 16 says, " ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have Eternal Life.’ "

Jesus Himself proved His faithfulness and generosity by giving back a thousandfold whatever men of faith had given Him. Remember when Peter and company failed to catch any fish all night in the Sea of Galilee? The following morning, Peter gave his empty boat to Jesus. The Lord sat down on the boat and taught the people the Good News about the Kingdom of God. You know what happened after that? Jesus returned the boat to Peter and instructed Peter to claim his miracle reward by throwing his net into the deep, and bingo: a miracle catch of fish filled up Peter’s boat and that of his friends (Luke 5:1-7)!
