Why Batgirl?

You might be wondering why would I want to make a page on Batgirl? Well for several reasons. One is that when I was a little kid (I'm 13 now :), I used to watch episodes of Batman from the 60's TV series. (They showed re-runs, I didn't watch them as they were actually being made.) One day in the opening credits where it showed Batman riding in a Batmobile, a woman in a batsuit suddenly rode across the screen on her motercycle! I watched the episode and decided I liked Batgirl, even though all she ever did was swing off of stuff on the ceiling.

Now that I'm 13, I saw The Adventures of Batman and Robin. I'm not as big as a Batman fan as I was, now I like X-Men and Generation X better. But X-Men and Batman come on FOX, and so while I was waiting for X-Men, Batman came on. It was an episode entitled "Batgirl Returns." I liked it, a lot better than the 60's series. This Batman series captured "the mood" of Batman. Dark. Mysterious. Silent. But what I liked most, was that Batgirl seemed to be a much stronger character. She seemed almost invincible, the way she fought. I liked how she was stronger, more agile, more personable. I decided to surf the web, and see what pages there were of Batgirl. I only found three in the whole world! So I decided I would make a Batgirl page.
