new rant: knowledge
these rants i wrote in high school, and they are outdated but i can't bear to delete them: life/violence/love/eyes/the accident/space.

i found a good way to deal with physical pain. the other day i dropped a fork on my foot, like it fell straight down and made a hole that immediately filled with blood. but anyway. i was like aah! to the immediate pain. and then came that pause, when my foot was kind of in shock, and the 2nd pain didn't come yet. and in that moment i stated, "that never happened. i never dropped that fork on my foot." and somehow i convinced myself in that brief moment of no pain that it hadn't happened. so the 2nd pain never came. isn't that cool! heh. i'm a psycho. but maybe it'll work for me in the future as well. heh.
what makes us enjoy certain things and not others? i like reading. i enjoy it. and it seems a lot of people don't. but i think its because i was brought up with a housefull of books... and my mom is a children's book writer. she'd always be writing and reading books to me and my sisters. so is that why I like reading? its not an innate thing? because i guess its not fair to look snidely at people who don't like reading... maybe they totally weren't brought up like how i was. maybe liking reading isn't innate at all. its just how you were raised.
maybe I would love math if I was brought up with it, brought up under parents who were excited about math and did math problems with me and stuff. maybe I would find math really interesting. I wonder what I'm just good at because I was born to be good at?
do left handed people use the computer mouse on the right side (normal side haha)? i guess so, but that must suck. i'm a righty and have no coordination in my left hand, i'd be retarted even to click the mouse buttons. cameras too...how come i don't hear any lefties bitching about these things? odd.
