This subtheme takes the Adventurers from
India through the
Himalayas into China. The number of these sets fall outside the 59xx
range. And
indeed this
is the first time the new system of consecutive numbering is used in
Adventurers
sets. On the back of the instructions is a map pieced together from three parts. A red dotted line shows the path that the Orient Expedition takes. The first part of the map shows the Indian subcontinent with sketches of 7410, 7411 and 7418. The next part features sketches of 7409, 7412 and 7417. The last part has sketches of 7413 and the line ends at a cross by 7419. An interesting thing to note however is that Johnny Thunder is shown next to the map in his old outfit and with his old head! And he is even wearing his old outfit in the Chinese sets. This subtheme introduces several new pieces, including scimitars, elephants, standing Tygurah /Yeti/Jun-Chi with large arms, 1 x 1 x 6 round pillars and sherpa hats. There are also five new minifigs: Maharaja Lallu, a Palace Guard, an elephant guide called Babloo and two sherpas, one good and one bad. Everyone but Kilroy has a new face and everybody has two new torso's! And with the new minifigs you can really talk about variety. I must admit that I prefer some of the old torsoes over the new ones. |
