In summer 2000 I moved to Santa Cruz, CA. In spite of the fact that I live only a mile from the great climbing gym of Pacific Edge, I have not been able to do as much climbing as I would have liked or hoped. I had a membership there for six months, but a lack of regular climbing partners and an inconvenient schedule (I commute to the Sili Valley for employment) kept me from going regularly. I let the damn thing expire, and haven't been back since. So, I shall wait until I have a more convenient circumstance before resuming gym climbing. I still miss climbing at the Rocknasium in Davis.
I've climbed in a number of places, indoor and outdoor; although, as I mentioned, I've not been to many (or any) new places in a while. It's hard to say what has been my favorite climbing experience - I like a lot of the areas I've been to. If I only had one place to go the rest of my life, it would definitely be the Incomparable Valley, Yosemite. That place is so astoundingly beautiful and fantastic.
