The Dreamer
Friends
call me a G.I. or Genuine
Ilocano. I was born and grew up in the renowned town the
church architecture is nothing you can find anywhere else
of Agoo in La Union province, Philippines. This is where I took
my primary and secondary schooling and graduated with so many medals
everybody thought then I was a Christmas tree.
I inherited my grandmother's
fondness for children. So I made myself five boys by a lady from
Batangas City.
What's
a B. S. in Medical Technology graduate doing in graphic arts? Well,
we are always told to follow our childhood dreams. After all, I
started doodling and sketching at the age of six. I always make
fun of drawing my teachers' faces in hilarious, sometimes unpopular
shapes. It's a personal expression I have not outgrown.

...the Graphic Designer
Despite
landing top six in the country's medical technology board
exams and.. following a dream, I switched working at a medical
laboratory in favor of a pharmaceutical company. I stayed there
for more than 19 years (really!). What have kept my drive during
those long years? Producing promotional pieces that feeds my passion
for graphic art as an expression. Executive perks kept me glued
on my seat.
The
rest of this brief history is still following that childhood dream,
not using pencil sketches as I used to, nor some corporate
artists translating my thoughts in traditional brushes but through
the wonders of digital technology.
