Salist - A Nebari. Chiana's keeper until he was murdered.
Samat - Alien measurement, probably feet.
Sanctity Root - The tree that forms the heart of the Delvian temples. It represents purity of thought and intent. Those grown on New Moon of Delvia are stunted and twisted because of the toxic atmosphere. P'au Tuzak told Crichton it was poisonous for him to touch it, but this is suspect because Tuzak is insane, and Tuzak thought Crichton was a PK (and therefore Sebacean).
Scanner - A hand-held medical device, much like an x-ray.
'Scaper - Erp fans of the show, Farscape.
Scarian - A race of beings. Scorpius is a half breed.
Scorpius - A Sebacean/Scarian half breed.
Scorvians - A race of beings at war with the Ilanics. Matala was a member.
Scout Ship - Stationed about PK Command Carriers they are crewed by PK Commandos.
Scrub Runner - The first Peace Keeper ship Aeryn flew.
Sebacean - Race normally associated with Peace Keepers. Aeryn Sun is a member. Sebaceans resemble humans in all but two ways. 1) They lack the gland to regulate their temperatures, so they are highly susceptable to heat. They succumb to "Sebacean Heat Delirium" and eventual "Living Death". 2) They are far more durable than humans. Aeryn took a beating from Captain Durka without so much as a bruise. There is evidence that colonies of Sebaceans lie somewhere deep in the Uncharted Territories. Sebaceans have a lifespan similar to humans.
Sebacean Heat Delirium - Sebaceans lack the ability to regulate sudden changes in temperature. There are several stages to Heat delirium - loss of short term memory, losing control of nervous functions, loss of long term memory and eventually 'The Living Death'.
Self-Tracking Pulse Cannons - Automated satellite defense system. Some Sebacean colonies use this Peace Keeper to defend against Peace Keepers and other invaders.
Servicers - D'Argo's term for Pilot and DRD's.
Sevva Crystals (or Stevva) - These crystals, combined with other ingredients (Jelifan Fire Paste), made up the bomb Rygel used in his attempt to kill Captain Durka.
Shai - Acquarian term meaning go away.
Shakit Sonnet - Luxan poetry often written about great Luxan warriors.
Shakloom - Large aquatic creature (a cross between a crab and a squid).
Shakloom Jerky - An Acquarian treat.
Sheyangs - A violent fire-breathing scavenger race.
Shilquen - A Luxan four-stringed instrument hand-crafted by D'Argo (first mentioned by Matala). D'Argo first played it for Pilot.
Siezium - A type of fuel used by PK Marauders. This fuel can leak, and can be ignited by an outside source.
Sleep Mist - Formulated by Zhaan, the purpose of this glorified water balloon is to put someone to sleep temporarily. It does not work on Luxans under the influence of the Tavlek gauntlet.
Solar Day - Unit of time, space equivalent of one day.
Sonic Ascendancy Cannon - The weapon of Moya's child, Talyn.
Sonic Howl - Device used in Clansmen rituals. The person is suspended upside-down between two blocks and vibrations are created by humming.
Sonic Net - A net sustained by the humming sound of a being's voice used to cushion a person's fall. Used by Peace Keepers during aerial combat training.
Staanz' Ship - Powered by a furnace (which must be kept stoked), Staanz' ship is barely able to function. Parts of dead creatures -- food -- hang from chains and it smells. The ship carries pieces of weapons but has nothing operational.
Stasis Gun - A handheld weapon that delivers a charge which stuns a living target. Once fired, it takes several microts to recharge.
Starburst - Leviathan method of hyperspatial travel. A Leviathan can not Starburst immediately after another Starburst.
Stomata - Zhaan's means of transporting water. (Yellow tinting on her skin)
Sun, Aeryn - Sebacean Peace Keeper Officer who was irreversably contaminated.
Sun, Talyn - Father of Aeryn Sun.
Sykar - Planet where Tannot root is grown and harvested. The Sykaran resistance group forced a live worm into Crichton's abdomen which protects him from the euphoric effects of Tannot root. Sykarans are being enslaved to produce Peace Keeper munitions.
Sykarians - A race of plant growing people.
Synaptic Bypass - A part of Moya.
Synaptic Processor Crystal - Part of Moya's propulsion system.
